1 Peter 1:15-16 Be Holy as I am Holy

Many have read the following verse before and so have we.  We never put it together with where it came from.  Peter is reflecting upon Dietary Laws from Leviticus.

1 Peter 1:15-16 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

Did you know that Peter is quoting from the Torah (Old Testament)?  Did you know that when the words “it is written” are seen that it always comes from the Torah (Old Testament)?  Did you know that Peter is directly quoting from the food laws in the above mentioned verse?

Leviticus 20:25-26 You shall therefore separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the unclean bird from the clean. You shall not make yourselves detestable by beast or by bird or by anything with which the ground crawls, which I have set apart for you to hold UNCLEAN.  You shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.

Dietary Law has nothing to do with health as some try to point out.  It has everything to do with separating us from the rest of the nation(s).  In the Bible the word GENTILE is used often.  This word never existed in the original text and is a mistranslation of the word Goy(singular) and Goyim(plural) which just means other nation(s).  HE wants us separated.  We can easily achieve separation.

Another question. There are many hebrew translations as we all know. There are many greek translations (or should i say variations?) but what hebrew and greek texts can I buy that are a non variant of the true scripture? Does it have a name? Im not sure if you understand what im asking. I have a friend asking “well how do you know that ‘This’ hebrew script is an actual copy of the ‘origional’ hebrew script?” And so if i know where i can get an actual copy of the origional (not revised) version of the greek and hebrew texts that would be awesome! Thanks! Please email me. And I will promote this page if you allow me.

There is NO WAY to truly know if what we are reading is a direct “descendant” of the original text. We would tell you that if what you are reading doesn’t coincide with Genesis-Exodus (Torah), it’s been tampered with. Some of the oldest known Greek texts are Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus as far as New Testaments go. Of course there are the “fragments” of the Dead Sea Scrolls and other “Fragments” that have been found. So to say “which” is the original is hard to really know. What we really need to do is rely on what the Torah teaches which is Gen-Exodus… As more stuff is found and compared to other texts we just have to make sure they all coincide with the Torah. How do we know the Torah is original? We don’t. NOBODY can 100% tell you something is exactly as YHVH (God) gave to us verbally. We can decipher enough to know where the lies begin and end in our current manuscripts though. If someone tells you something that goes against HIS divine instructions called Torah then you have uncovered a lie. One can always refer back to the Septuagint and see what was written back then. Legend has it that Ptolemy II sequestered 72 Jewish Scribes to translate the Hebrew into Koine Greek. Greeks say Ptolemy sequestered only 70 but the Talmud says 72 which was 6 scribes from each of the 12 tribes. Here’s the “kicker” though. Some words will not translate from Hebrew to Greek without losing their meanings. We have to rely on those that have protected the ancient text and know Hebrew or have dedicated their lives to restoring or learning ancient Hebrew in its original form.

Here’s what we do know. Christianity and many modern Bibles have made stuff up that goes against HIS commands given long ago. They’ve made Feast Days into pagan holidays. The list goes on and on. Take for instance the following verse… 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

That is called “ADDING” to HIS Sacred Text. We are warned in Matthew 5:18 about adding or taking away… That 1 John 5:7 verse never existed originally. We can be like a Berean as mentioned in Acts and study hard to remove haSatan’s (great deceiver’s) additions and subtractions from HIS sacred text. Hope that helps.

    Shalom
