Some points on Easter and Lent

So this won’t be the most popular post to our Christian followers but remember we post the TRUTH, not traditions of man.

WE once followed along in Christianity’s celebration of Easter which pre-dates Christianity and comes from a celebration revolving around Tammuz and Ishtar, which can be looked up in your Bible to see it wasn’t commanded.  Technically speaking, this is a “recap” of how it started.

Noah’s grandson (Cush) and his wife Semiramis had a son named Nimrod. After Cush’s death, Nimrod married his own mother and became a mighty king. He too was eventually killed. His mother then began the deceit of deifying her son/husband, claiming he had become a “sun-god,” and he was to be called Baal. Baal was worshipped as a god of fertility and promoted sexual sin. Semiramis set herself us as the goddess named “Ishtar” (pronounced “Easter”). She bore a son named Tammuz. He grew to be a hunter and was later killed by a wild pig. Ishtar then designated a forty day period (the source of Lent) to mark the anniversary of Tammuz’s death. During this time, no meat was to be eaten. Every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration was made. Ishtar proclaimed that because a pig killed Tammuz, that a pig must be eaten on that Sunday.

Easter comes from Ishtar which comes from Astarte which comes from her Hebrew name Ashtoreth as mentioned in the Bible.  Here are a couple verses of many that mention her.

2 Kings 23:13 And the king defiled the high places that were east of Jerusalem, to the south of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

1 Kings For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

Here we have a very strong WARNING about holding fast to the traditions of celebrating Ashtoreth (Easter)

Jeremiah 7:17  Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 18 The children gather wood, the fathers kindle fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven (Ashtoreth-Ishtar-Easter).  And they pour out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

It wasn’t until the Roman Catholic Church accepted the tradition that it truly got its wings sort of speak in Christianity.  The newly converted pagan Romans wanted to hold fast to their celebrations and the Church accepted the practice.  So if you think about it we allowed a pagan celebration to infiltrate the Church.  Think about that for a second.  The enemy knows the only way to win is to deceive us and he is doing it from the inside out.  Around 363 A.D. some laws were passed to make sure the Christians were not celebrating Passover or any other commanded Feast Day.  In fact, those laws demanded violators would be put to death.   Not only does Christianity hold fast to a tradition started in Babylon, it has thrown away the Commanded Celebration of Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread.  So many have been taught that Paul told us that we don’t have to do it and don’t let anybody judge you if you don’t.  That is a false teaching.

We have recently switched to celebrating the Holy Days HIS way.  WE have found it much more spiritually rewarding and our kids love the whole week and look forward to it.  We have learned that even though we thought we were doing the right thing before it wasn’t what HE commanded and what HE wanted from us.  Even though our hearts were in the right place, we weren’t following in TRUTH that he commanded to us.  We have heard HIS message loud and clear and hopefully one day down the road, all Christians will get back to celebrating HIS Holy Days HIS way and that will be the norm instead of the abnormal.  Imagine that, doing things HIS way is now abnormal.  Makes us sad to know how far we have strayed from HIS commands.

The Cross (This may SHOCK you)

We will tell you though that we DO NOT wear crosses. It symbolizes death and pre-dates Christianity. It started long ago in Babylon. It can be traced back to be a symbol of Tammuz.

Now before you get upset, please open your mind and look at it through HIS eyes. Over the last 2000 years we have adopted the practice of displaying Crosses as a way of symbolizing our Faith in Yeshua. We have adopted a Man-Made Tradition that goes against HIS commands to avoid symbols. According to the Scriptures, HE doesn’t even want them in our homes. Let’s look at it like this. The Cross symbolizes the most brutal slaughter of a human being possible. It was a brutal and torturous way to kill our Messiah. HE suffered deeply. There were much easier ways for our Messiah to die. If you search deep enough into the Scriptures you will find that our Messiah wasn’t truly “hung on a cross”; it was more like a tree. These trees were used by the Romans to kill people long before Yeshua died on one. The tree was used as the ULTIMATE disgrace to the worst criminals of those times. It was used as a display to warn other criminals of the consequences of their crime. If you look close enough you will find that many of the things you were taught about the cross never appear in the Bible. There is not one instance anywhere that shows any of Yeshua‘s followers wore a symbol of Death after HE was sacrificed. Some quote Mark 8:34 as a way of proving it is okay to wear a cross or have one in the home.

Let’s look at it another way. The Holocaust was the single most horrific time in the life of the Jewish people. We all know how evil that time was. Do you think it would be okay to wear a Nazi symbol around your neck in remembrance of the Jewish people who were killed during that time. You might be saying this is a huge stretch and how could we even compare the two. In today’s society the Nazi symbol is a horrid thing and every single person knows its meaning. Well, if you let 2000+ years go by and somebody comes along and teaches us that wearing a Nazi symbol is the right thing to do in rememberance of the Genocide that occured against the Jewish People, then it would become a Tradition!!! Let 2000+ years go by and it could evolve into a symbol that becomes a memorial symbol to society. The wearer of the symbol will believe they are remembering the lost lives and have their heart in the right place but it goes against HIS commands to avoid symbols. The Cross is the exact same thing. It has become a memorial symbol of the worst day in Christianity. Again, keep an open mind. It isn’t about what it means to YOU. It’s all about what it means to HIM. Do you wear a symbol of a Manger around your neck to symbolize HIS birth???

You may wonder how we can display our Faith in Yeshua??? According to the scriptures people will know our Elohim by how we live our lives. They can see that the Ruach HaKodesh lives inside of us. We are told in 2 Thessalonians 2:15 to “stand firm” and hold to the traditions the Bible teaches not what man teaches. Wearing symbols is what man has taught us not Yahweh and not Yeshua.
