Hebrew Aleph Bet Has No Vowels

The Hebrew Aleph bet has no vowels. Why is this important, one might ask? It is important because many throw away the Old Testament as Jewish or “done away with” by the Messiah. The Old Testament doesn’t rely on the New Testament but the New Testament relies on the Old Testament to explain itself.

The Old Testament can only be understand because of ORAL TRADITION of the Jews. Without ORAL TRADITION most can’t even understand what the Old Testament even says. This is because Hebrew has no vowels and for us to understand it we rely on Oral Tradition to put the vowels in place for us to help us understand the meanings of the verses. The Oral Tradition protected God’s word and has now been placed into the Written Scriptures to help us understand. In fact, 99% of the Christian Bible is dependent on Oral Tradition.

It wasn’t until the middle ages that the Masoretic Text came along and it was recently compared to the Dead Sea Scrolls in which they agree with each other.

Immaculate Conception Meaning – Catholic Catechism #508

According to Catholic Catechism # 508, Yeshua was not the only perfect/sinless person ever to walk the earth. In fact, Catechism #508 states that Mary was born without original sin then goes on to state she never sinned while on earth.

Catechism #508 –  From among the descendants of Eve, God chose the Virgin Mary to be the mother of his Son. “Full of grace”, Mary is “the most excellent fruit of redemption” (SC 103): from the first instant of her conception, she was totally preserved from the stain of original sin and she remained pure from all personal sin throughout her life.

hmmmmm…… While most believe that the Immaculate Conception has to do with Jesus being born to a Virgin, it is actually the Catholic Doctrine that Mary was born without original sin and lived without sin…

Epaphras and Colossians 2:16

We know that Paul wrote many letters and those letters often showed they were all still keeping the feasts. Here are some verses that show “Feast Keeping” was still being observed. (Luke 2:41, Matthew 26:17, Mark 14:12, Luke 22:7, Acts 20:6).

So we are often asked whom Paul was writing to in the following verse.

Colossians 2:16. “Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.”

Many believe Paul is talking to the new non-Jewish believers often called Gentiles. We have a study showing the word Gentile never existed and is a bad translation of all non-Jews. Basically Gentile, from the word Goy(im), means Nation(s) outside the Nation of Israel. If you are in covenant and believe in the Messiah then you have become part of the Nation of Israel; biblically speaking.

Now back on track. Many believe Paul was telling the new converts to not worry about doing any of that stuff because it is for the Jews only and all that “Law” stuff was nailed to the cross. Well…….We dove in and took a look into this exact subject a little more to see whom exactly Paul was talking to.

Paul mentions the name Epaphras and tells us he was imprisoned with him (Philemon 1:23). Epaphras was from Colossae. It is highly plausible Epaphras founded the church in Colossae to whom the book of Colossians was written. Those beliefs probably spread to start the churches in Laodicea and Hierapolis. Taking those facts into account along with the fact that Paul himself was still celebrating feast days, Paul would have taught Epaphras to “KEEP” the feast days along with everything else. We feel if that is the case then Paul is not writing to the Church of Colossae to tell them to stop doing those things but to not worry about those outside the church that are passing judgment on them because the “ARE” doing those things.

For an even more in-depth look take a look at our 5 facts about the Book of Colossians.

Galatians 6:2 Fulfill

Did Yeshua (Jesus) complete the LAW?  Some have shown that loving your neighbors COMPLETES the LAW because of this verse in which Yeshua (Jesus) is saying to Love your neighbor and God will all your heart.

Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Well we came across this verse. Galatians 6:2  Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

In the previous verse the word fulfill is used.  Many take that to mean complete as most are taught in the next verse directly from the mouth of our Messiah.

Matthew 5:17  Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

Again the word fulfill is used.  Does this mean that everything is complete?  If we look at it that way we can then take the Galatians 6:2 verse to mean that if we take on the burdens of others e have completed the LAW.

In TRUTH the word Fulfill means to “bring meaning to, magnify, or fully preach/teach” not to complete.

Colossians 2 Facts

Many are taught Colossians 2:16-23 does away with the Old Covenant or more specifically the Torah (1st Five Books of Old Testament).  The Torah is simply HIS divine instructions.

Colossians fact #1:  The ENTIRE book of Colossians never mentions the word Law one time.  Keeping this in mind, we should never point the book of Colossians in the direction of making the Torah (Divine Instructions) obsolete.

Colossians fact #2:  There are many bad translations for the word “new” as in “new covenant” throughout the Bible.  It should be translated as saying “Renewed” covenant.  All covenants are layered on top of the previous covenant throughout the history of HIS sacred text.  As far as the Old Testament verses the New Testament goes a man named Marcion coined those terms.  If somebody handed you a Bible as a child and you were never taught to separate the two Testaments you would learn the Divine Instructions first (Torah=1st Five Books) and then learn as you read further along that you are saved by belief in Yeshua (Jesus).    By learning this way you would not just throw away all the commands because you were saved by Yeshua (Jesus).

Colossians fact #3: Colossians 2:16-23 is talking about Human Precepts not Yahweh’s (God’s) precepts.

Colossians fact #4: The only thing that changed is “how” we are saved.  We are saved by the belief in the One True Messiah.  Having Faith has always been required from the beginning of creation.  If you don’t have Faith you never had any promise in the Old Testament.  If Adam would have had Faith he would not have eaten from the Tree of knowledge.  The Israelites showed their Faith through obedience.  They had to paint blood of their doorposts to avoid death of their 1st born male sons.  The reason they obeyed the command to paint the blood is because they had FAITH.  Without Faith their 1st born male children would have been killed.  Without obedience their 1st born male children would have been killed.  They had both.  They had the Faith what they were told was true and they followed in obedience to the command.

Colossians fact #5:  The Torah (1st Five Books of Old Testament=Divine Instructions) commands that in order to be judged and found guilty there must be 2 witness to the offense (see Deuteronomy 19:15).  Keeping this in mind we all know that our Messiah did and will follow Torah (Divine Instructions) perfectly forever and never sin against it.  So let’s cover “CERTIFICATE/RECORD OF DEBT” as mentioned in Colossians 2:14.  The correct translation means “debt” in Aramaic.  Some translate as sin but sinning is basically making us go into debt to HIM.  When we sin, Yahweh (God) is the 1st witness to that offense.  The Certificate of Debt is the 2nd witness to that sin.  In following the commands from Torah (Divine Instructions) our Elohim (God) would have the required witnesses (2 or more) to condemn us and take away eternal life.   When Yeshua (Jesus) died on the stake HE erased the 2nd witness (Certificate of Debt) allowing us to be found blameless before the Father (Yahweh).  Now that only one witness is left we can’t be held accountable for our sin.  The ONLY way we are then saved is through the belief in the Messiah dying for us to erase the 2nd witness.

Matthew 15:1-7 Yahweh’s (God’s) Law not Law of Moses

We are often taught to throw away all the Jewish Laws of the Old Testament including but not limited to Dietary Law and Feast Days.  Did you know that the New Testament quotes those “Jewish Laws” over 4000+ times.  In fact the Law isn’t Jewish at all it is Yahweh’s (God’s) Law. This is eye opening to us and hopefully to you.  Notice in the next verse what Yeshua (Jesus) says to the Pharisees.

Matthew 15 Then Pharisees and scribes came to Yeshua (Jesus) from Jerusalem and said, “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat.”  He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of Yahweh (God) for the sake of your tradition? For Yahweh (God) commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’  But you say, ‘If anyone tells his father or his mother, “What you would have gained from me is given to Yahweh (God),” he need not honor his father.’ So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word of Yahweh (God).

Bet you still didn’t catch that.  We have read this verse a 100 times and just realized it.  Notice that Yeshua (Jesus) refers to the commandments as Yahweh’s not Mosheh‘s (Moses’) commands.  Notice HE actually says it 4 times throughout those verses.  The LAW was Yahweh’s (God’s) Law, not Mosheh‘s (Moses’).  So when we see our Messiah referring to the “commandments” He is talking about all of them, even the commandments given to Moses.  And John quoted Yeshua (Jesus) about keeping ALL OF THEM.

John 14:15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. Again, Yeshua (Jesus) is referring to all of them.

1 Peter 1:15-16 Be Holy as I am Holy

Many have read the following verse before and so have we.  We never put it together with where it came from.  Peter is reflecting upon Dietary Laws from Leviticus.

1 Peter 1:15-16 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

Did you know that Peter is quoting from the Torah (Old Testament)?  Did you know that when the words “it is written” are seen that it always comes from the Torah (Old Testament)?  Did you know that Peter is directly quoting from the food laws in the above mentioned verse?

Leviticus 20:25-26 You shall therefore separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the unclean bird from the clean. You shall not make yourselves detestable by beast or by bird or by anything with which the ground crawls, which I have set apart for you to hold UNCLEAN.  You shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.

Dietary Law has nothing to do with health as some try to point out.  It has everything to do with separating us from the rest of the nation(s).  In the Bible the word GENTILE is used often.  This word never existed in the original text and is a mistranslation of the word Goy(singular) and Goyim(plural) which just means other nation(s).  HE wants us separated.  We can easily achieve separation.

Hebrews 8:13

Hebrews 8:13 (NIV) By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

Hebrews 8:13 (AENT) In that he said a Renewed (Covenant), he made the first old; and that which is old and decaying, is near to disappearing.

What is “near to disappearing” is the how man has broken TORAH, not the instructions/commands/precepts that Torah sets in place.  We, as people, have broken Torah not YahwehYahweh  did not decide to drop HIS divine instructions because we chose to quit following HIS commands.  HIS purpose was to install a Renewed Covenant to write Torah upon the heart through the work of the Ruach haKodesh (Jeremiah 31:31-34) , according to our Messiah. If we look at it this way we can see that the Torah wasn’t done away with it actually had its bar raised by Yeshua as HE magnified it (pleroo in Greek or Fulfilled in English).  HE does it for HIS sake (Isaiah 42:21). When our ancestors decided to break Torah, Yahweh stepped in and gave us HIS son to show us what to do.  By supplying us with the final sacrifice Yahweh showed mercy on us through the shed blood of the Messiah presenting us Spotless and Blameless before our Elohim.  The problem is that Yahweh’s part of the covenant has never changed; our’s has.  We are to restore ourselves to obedience through Faith in HIS son and insertion of the Ruach HaKodesh inside of us.  Because mankind broke the Covenant, Yahweh requires complete renovation on our part, not HIS part of the Covenant. This verse has become the “centerpiece” of a Torahless Christianity and that is a dangerous path to take.

Titus 3:8 Do Good Works

It is often taught that works do not get us anywhere. While works do not save us they are commanded to do and they please HIM.

Titus 3:8 Trustworthy is the word, and in this regard I wish you to strongly affirm, that those who have believed in Elohim should keep their minds on maintaining good works. This is good and profitable to men.

Remember. We are saved by Grace alone but this doesn’t mean we don’t have to follow HIS commands and do good works all the time. The Grace vs Law all started with a man name Ignatius of Antioch.  He wrote in his letter to the Magnesians: around 100 A.D.

“Let us not be persuaded by strange teachings, nor by fables that have no truth in them. If we still live by the Jewish law we confirm that we have not received grace; the old is gone and all has been renewed. For if we are still living in accordance with the Jewish law and it’s circumcision of the flesh, then we deny that we have received grace. All then who have been brought up under the old have to come to a new hope and therefore no longer keep the Sabbath, but the day of the Lord.”

This folks is where it all started. Grace vs Law, Christianity vs Jews. As knowlegable as Ignatius of Antioch might have been he has one HUGE error in his letter. The Torah that he spoke of was never and still isn’t JEWISH. It is Yahweh’s Torah given to Mosheh (not a Jew) for our benefit. This teaching of Ignatius of Antioch (aka Theophorus) has held strong for over 1900+ years.  Note:  the word Day at the end of that verse was incorrectly translated as late as the 19th Century. The end of that sentence is correctly translated as “living according to our Lord s life”.

Exodus 12:23

We know HE says we are saved by Grace and that Faith is what we must have. Does this mean we can be disobedient and not follow HIS LAW because it got nailed to the cross??? Let’s go back and look at the beginning.

When the Israelites where let out of Egypt, Yahweh promised to send death to the 1st born Male child of the Egyptians. He then gave a command!!!

Exodus 12:23 Take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and touch the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning. 23 For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you.

CHECK THAT OUT!!! Read again and look at what happened. We all know they had FAITH but they were also given a command. If the Israelites did not have Faith they would not have put the blood on the doorpost. We know they did believe in HIM and they had Faith in HIM but their first born children were not saved on their Faith alone; they were saved on their obedience through their Faith to the command of putting blood on the doorpost. They didn’t base their salvation on the fact that they believed because the LAMB was SLAIN!!! Get that??? If they would have just said “We have Faith HE won’t harm us” and failed to put the blood on the door posts and their 1st born male sons would have been consumed.

So another tidbit:  We all know that there are plenty of verses that say we are “saved” by Faith.  This is true and does not contradict our point on this verse.  Even Abraham had faith but then was told to show Obedience.  Salvation will come through our Faith in the Messiah but and a BIG BUT, how can one claim to have Faith in our Messiah and then not do any of the works?

James 2:20  But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead

NOW REVERSE THAT.. All of Israel was left in the desert because they didn’t have FAITH.  They did all the WORKS but had no FAITH.  The generations had to die off before they could enter the Promised Land.  WOW HUH?  You either have Faith and do works, or you do works without FAITH.  You can’t have one without the other no matter what anyone tells you…

Our Lamb has been slain. HIS name was HaMashiach Yeshua. We can’t and shouldn’t base our belief in salvation because the LAMB was slain. We should base our belief in salvation by our Faith and OBEDIENCE to HIS Torah. How powerful is that? Did you see that just as we did? In the beginning they all had to have Faith. The entire Old Testament tests their Faith over and over again and yet they were Faithfully obedient to HIS commands and not just 10 of them.
